I bring all the equipment, props and carefully selected accessories needed to create beautiful, studio-quality photographs in a calm and familiar environment. As a mother, I understand that leaving home during the first few weeks after giving birth can feel overwhelming. An in-home session allows you to relax while I take care of every detail.

Each session follows your baby’s natural rhythm, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, cuddling and sleeping. Your baby’s comfort and safety are always my priority. My aim is to create natural, timeless photographs of these precious early days—without you having to travel to a studio.

When is the best timing for a newborn session?

As a newborn photographer in Lisbon, I specialise in professional in-home newborn sessions. The ideal time for posed newborn photography is usually between 6 and 12 days after birth. During this period, babies tend to sleep more deeply and can usually be positioned comfortably for the classic newborn poses. However, it is still possible to do newborn photoshoots up until the baby is 10 weeks old, adapting the session style to the baby’s age, comfort and development. You can book during pregnancy using your due date as a reference, and we can adjust the session once your baby arrives. Sessions can also be arranged for older babies, with the style adapted to their age and comfort.

Family Photos During Your Newborn Session

Welcoming a new baby is also a special moment for the whole family. Whenever parents wish, I reserve part of the session for photographs with mum, dad and older siblings. This way, alongside your baby’s first portraits, we also capture the first moments and connections of this new chapter as a family. With older children, I adapt the session to their age and personality without forcing poses. My aim is to create natural, affectionate and timeless family photographs in the comfort of your home.

Can I choose the colours/tones of the props used during the photoshoot?

Of course. You can choose the colours and tones of the props used during the session. Every family has its own style and preferences, so I adapt the session to the look you would like to achieve. Whether you prefer brighter colours or soft, neutral tones, we can choose together the props that best suit you and your baby. You are also welcome to share any ideas or preferences with me before the session.

How long does it take to receive the final images?

The estimated delivery time for the edited photographs is around 1 month. This may vary depending on the number of images and the amount of editing required. I will keep you updated throughout the process and let you know if any additional time is needed.

How do I receive the final images?

Once the editing process is complete, your final photographs are delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view and download the images directly to your device. This makes it easy and secure to save and share your photographs.

What is High-End Retouching?

High-end retouching is a careful editing process that includes adjustments to colour, exposure, skin and small details within the image. The aim is to enhance each photograph while keeping the final result natural and professional. Every final image is edited individually and prepared to a quality suitable for printing in different sizes.

Can I buy more photos after choosing my package?

Yes. Each additional photograph can be purchased for €10, or you can purchase 5 additional photographs for €40. All selected photographs will be carefully retouched and delivered through a private online gallery, where you can download them directly to your device.

What is a digital scenario?

A digital scenario is an image created by combining several photographs. If you choose a package that includes a digital scenario, I photograph your newborn in different poses against a neutral background. These images are then combined and edited to create a final photograph in a more elaborate and creative setting. Digital scenarios allow us to create unique images that would not be possible to photograph in the same way using a physical setup. See here examples of digital scenarios.
